PA politicians are looking to score hero status with eminent domain prevention bills that don’t really address the core causes of blight, nor do they bother to truly respect individual property rights — leaving politicians firmly in the power broker seat to take what it is they want for their own political gain.

Well… I’ve sure met my share of republicans who are still deluded with the belief that republicans are really about smaller government and lower taxes….

Pittsburgh Mayor Murph– er…. Bob O’Conner says new revenue is essential to a Pittsburgh recovery.

Try as we might to believe otherwise, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Eventually it will catch up with us all.

Pittsburgh’s fiscal medicine is not. Like any respectable parasite, the city of Pittsburgh knows it can’t kill the local taxpaying host… So it goes in search of other hosts in rural Pennsylvania with the help of Fast Eddie Rendell.

The taxpayer is never safe in Pittsburgh so long as the voters do the same old voting routine…

Need a bus? KDKA’s Marty Griffen found that late at night, you can pretty much have your way with any PAT bus you want at the Harmarville garage.

Redevelopment is mostly about pretty postcard pictures. But inside the fancy looking wrappings is always an economic black hole in need of more and more taxpayer resources.
