We Need Revenue

- “We need revenue. We can’t just cut our way out of it.”
That’s not a quote from Mayor Murphy last year. That’s freshly minted Mayor Bob O’Conner talking at his big inauguration party about drilling the taxpayers for more loot.
Look. If you had something to sell, you’d hire a sales marketing department to sell more of whatever you have to sell. As it stands, you are dependent on taxes from folks sick and tired of being taxed — that’d explain why so many businesses and taxpayers have voted with their feet, leaving behind even more majorities for big government voters.
So, instead of taxing — YOU have a bloated government bureaucracy. Cut it, finally.
Oh, I suppose the Department of Manna’s new slot machine revenue department will solve all of our ills.
