Lawmakers & Closed Door Pay Raises

There is no guarantee it will pass, but behind closed doors, our Pennsylvania lawmakers are considering giving themselves a quick raise in the dark of night just before the summer recess. The amount? “At least $10,000.”

Rendell will have to approve the raise and is considering that. But, the proposal must “stand on its own merit,” said his spokeswoman, Kate Philips.

What kind of standard is THAT? Just like the billions of dollars the state already overspends, I suppose.
